Project Learning Tree (PLT) is an award winning, multi-disciplinary environmental education curriculum program geared for non-formal and preK-8 educators.

PLT Activity Guide

PLT’s Activity Guide uses the forest as a "window on the world” to increase students' understanding of our complex environment, to stimulate critical and creative thinking, to develop the ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues, and to instill in students the confidence and commitment to take responsible action on behalf of the environment.

Participate in a PLT Workshop!

Workshops highlight hands-on activities from PLT’s activity guide geared towards K-12 educators. A range of activities which link to the Utah State Core Curriculum for Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Reading, Art, and Music will be demonstrated. Participants will also receive information and resources pertaining to Utah’s local environments.

All workshops are eligible for USOE Credit!

USEE’s Professional Development Workshops train educators:

  • In environmental education
  • How best to use the provided curriculum materials
  • How to enhance (NOT reinvent) their current curriculum
  • How to integrate multiple subjects for a single activity
  • How to engage with and draw upon their community in learning about and taking action to address local environmental issues

Thanks to our great supporters of Project Learning Tree, TreeUtah is able to offer their expertise and resources at specified workshops. Check our upcoming workshops to see which workshops are being facilitated by TreeUtah.
