USEE’s Volunteer Program
The goal of USEE’s Volunteer Program is to create an environmentally literate society through means of citizens educating citizens. By utilizing the member volunteers and community participants USEE can maximize the efforts in building and sustaining a relationship with the Institutional members, community, and Utah as a whole. In order to achieve this goal USEE will concentrate its efforts on three pillars of service:

Education

  • PLT Facilitators

Community Relationships

  • USEE Plants a Seed of knowledge

Statewide Outreach

  •  Regional Lead members

The three pillars can be sectioned into focus areas, which are organized to suit the needs of the organization as well as, the interest of the volunteers

Who can volunteer?
Ages 17+. With your assistance we will find a service project where your support is needed and put to good use. *Certain programs do have age restrictions in order to properly serve the purpose of the program.

Benefits
There are many different areas to apply your skills, talents, and interest. From working with kids to hosting special events there will be something for everyone. When you first agree to become a volunteer you will meet with USEE’s Education Outreach Coordinator. Together you both will see how you can benefit this program and how this program can benefit you.

Professional Benefits
The Utah Society for Environmental Education is a state wide organization connected to several environmental leaders, organizations, and community partners. We also host programs that are nationally acclaimed. It is an excellent way to build connections and relationships with individuals within professional environmental fields. From environmental education to developing and hosting special events; volunteering can aid in developing a multitude of skills to prepare you for future careers.

Education
We value education and accessible knowledge for everyone. Whether we are educating children or adults, professionals or the general public; we believe everyone has a right to learn how this remarkable world works around them. As a USEE volunteer you will have the opportunity in educating individuals, thus giving them the tools to critically think about their environment.

Outreach
Are you a social butterfly? If you enjoy conversing with others; then outreach is perfect for you. Our education outreach program allows for our volunteers to connect with the public and educate the community about the great programs USEE has to offer. The volunteers in this program will attend special events, festivals, conferences, and Farmer’s Markets to talk and to listen to the Utah community.
