Utah Project for Excellence in Environmental Education
The Utah Project for Excellence in Environmental Education is made possible through a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency and will be implemented in 3 stages.
1) The first stage involves surveying the community to develop an inventory of organizations that are providing EE programs and materials in Utah.
2) Utilizing the information collected in stage 1, USEE will perform a needs assessment with teachers across the state. This will help to determine how teachers are using available programs and materials and identify areas that need improvement.
3) The third and final stage is to compile all of the information gathered in the survey and needs assessment and hold a community forum with all stakeholders to develop a strategy to strengthen EE in Utah. This is a very exciting time for EE the state of Utah, and we will need help from the entire community. Ultimately, the information gathered from this project and the strategy developed will guide and inform all those who strive for a stronger environmentally literate citizenry. Community involvement is key for the success of this project and we will ask for your input at every stage. If you have any questions about this project please contact Jason Taylor (director@usee.org).
